High School Photo Camp Details
This action-packed camp will show you how to create interesting digital photos while having a ton of fun doing it! We will cover the basics of digital photography as well as learn the elements of photographing people, nature, action, and low-light objects. In addition, exposure control and close-up shots will be covered. Any kind of digital camera is welcome. Also, please bring along your iPhone or other camera phone for some extra fun! We will also spend time on the "how to" of sharing images and even print a few during the camp. Bring your camera and gain the confidence you need to have the best Facebook page ever!
This four day overnight workshop for 8th grade graduates and high school students will begin on Monday, July 16 at 1:00pm at the Rock Valley College Stenstrom Center and end on Thursday, July 19 at 11:00am. Meals and overnight accommodations are included in the price. More details will be provided upon registration.

Photography field trips include Anderson Japanese Gardens, Blackhawk Statue in Oregon, and Byron Forest Preserve. Other fun trips we take include miniature golf, batting cages, etc. In addition to optional sunrise shoots, we will spend time in many venues on composition, night photography, iphoneology, and ipads . No equipment is required except your camera, and you will be able to work with whatever equipment you bring. We will include macro photography, visual poetry, and other exercises to stimulate creativity. You will also be able to print your favorite shots while at the camp.
