Pier 39 Day Safari
Pier 39 Day Safari Details
Join us for a workshop in travel photography, conducted several times every month, beginning at the famous Pier 39!
Working on the edge of the Wharf, ophotography instructor will first give you a 40-minute presentation to help you understand your camera and explain what all those features on your camera do, especially the ones controlling F-stops, shutter speeds, white balance, and ISO. This overview also covers composition tips on how to capture your travel scenes.
Following this overview, you will go through beautiful Fisherman's Wharf area to photograph some of San Francisco’s finest scenery to help internalize the concepts through practicing photographing people, sculptures and buildings.
Throughout the safari, we will critique your photos as you take them, helping you to correct exposure, composition and white balance right on the spot so you immediately see results.
This hands-on training will show you how to use that new camera of yours or that camera you've had for a while that you always keep on the auto setting! It will also give you invaluable photo techniques for your future travels so come see us before you go on that big trip!
This three-hour safari meets rain or shine. Bring your camera and lenses (no tripod required) for this daytime safari. This is recommended for beginner to intermediate photographers, but all skill levels and cameras are invited!
