Ferry Building Day Safari
Ferry Building Day Safari Details
Join us for a workshop in travel photography, conducted several times every month, beginning at the main entrance to the Ferry Building (just below the Clock Tower). Working in the shadow of the Clock Tower, our photography instructor will first give you a 40-minute presentation to help you understand your camera and explain what all those features on your camera do, especially the ones controlling F-stops, shutter speeds, white balance, and ISO. This overview also covers composition tips on how to capture your travel scenes.
Following this overview, you will go in and around the beautiful Ferry Building to photograph some of the dazzling sites. These exercises will help internalize the concepts through practicing you new-found knowledge!
Throughout the safari, we will critique your photos as you take them, helping you to correct exposure, composition and white balance right on the spot so you immediately see results.
Join us and get off that ugly green auto-setting! This hands-on training will show you how to use that new camera of yours or that camera you've had for awhile. It will also give you invaluable photo techniques for your future travels so come see us before you go on that big trip!
This three-hour safari meets rain or shine. Bring your camera and lenses (no tripod required) for this daytime safari. This is recommended for beginner to intermediate photographers, but all skill levels and cameras are invited!
Information regarding directions and parking can be viewed at the Ferry Building website.
